Three things Jobber owners say to us on the first call
“Jobber says we got paid. The bank deposit says a different number.”
“Undeposited Funds in QuickBooks keeps getting bigger.”
“My CPA asked why our sales show up twice.”
Jobber sends invoices and payments to QuickBooks in one direction only. When a setting is off, or someone edits a synced invoice in QuickBooks, the two drift apart month after month. It is fixable, and it stays fixed once someone checks it every month.

Straight answers before you book
Are you a bookkeeper for Jobber users?
Yes. Books and Trucks keeps the books in QuickBooks Online for trade shops that run their jobs, invoices and payments in Jobber: payouts, fees and tips matched to the bank, a monthly Jobber to QuickBooks sync check, sales tax filed and the books closed every month.
Do I have to change how I use Jobber?
No. Jobber stays your tool for quotes, jobs, invoices and payments. We work in QuickBooks Online and read your Jobber reports each month to check that both match.
Why don't my Jobber payouts match my bank deposits?
Jobber Payments pays out in batches, after card fees are taken off, and instant payouts carry an extra fee. QuickBooks needs each payment, each fee and each deposit booked on its own. If payout syncing is off, or points at the wrong account, the deposits never line up. We set it up correctly and check it every month.
Jobber has its own bookkeeping service. How are you different?
Jobber's bookkeeping add-on is a good fit for many smaller shops. We are a fit when you want your books to stay in QuickBooks Online, where your CPA already works, or when you want payroll, supplier bills, sales tax filings and job costing handled by the same team.
Which Jobber plan do we need?
Jobber's QuickBooks Online link is included from its Connect plan up. Jobber's own job costing comes with Grow and up. Check Jobber's pricing page for the current plans.
We use QuickBooks Desktop or Xero.
Jobber links to QuickBooks Online, and to Xero through an app Xero maintains. If you are on Desktop or Xero, we can move you to QuickBooks Online first. We quote that once, after the free look.
My books are a mess right now.
Most new clients start that way. The free look shows how far behind things are. When you start a monthly plan, we fix the Jobber link and clean up all your past books in QuickBooks at no charge, however far back they go.
Can you only fix the Jobber link, without monthly bookkeeping?
Yes. A one-time setup and repair runs $750 to $2,500, depending on how many months need fixing. We confirm the price in writing after the free look.
Who actually does the work?
A named bookkeeper on our team handles your account every month, and a senior accountant reviews the numbers before your monthly call.
Is our data safe with you?
Every login our team uses for a client system has two-factor authentication turned on. Access comes through the user you grant, not shared passwords.
I already have a CPA.
Good. We do the monthly books, your CPA does the tax return, and we send them clean, reconciled books at year-end.
What if it does not work out?
Month to month, cancel any time. You keep your QuickBooks file and your data.
Jobber is a trademark of its owner. Books and Trucks is an independent firm and is not part of Jobber.
Keep running the jobs. We’ll keep the books in step.
No obligation.
